Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Nextgen Electrical and Data Services (VANDKAMAL PTY LTD, ABN 14 159 325 667) handles personal information collected through this website and when you contact us. We handle personal information in line with the principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

When you ask for a quote or contact us, we collect the details you choose to give us: your name, phone number, email address, suburb, and a description of the electrical work you need. If you call or message us, we also keep the contact details and messages you send.

How your enquiry reaches us

When you submit a quote form, your enquiry is either sent to us by a form service we use to deliver it by email, or it opens a WhatsApp message to our business number with your details filled in, which you then choose to send. Messages sent through WhatsApp are handled by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own terms and privacy policy.

Why we use it

We use your information to reply to your enquiry, provide a quote, arrange and carry out electrical work, issue certificates and invoices, and meet our legal and licensing obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing without asking you first.

Who we share it with

We only share information where it is needed to do the job or where the law requires it, for example with Energy Safe Victoria when a Certificate of Electrical Safety must be lodged, or with service providers that help us run our business, such as our email, hosting and messaging providers.

Cookies and third-party content

This website does not currently use advertising or analytics cookies. To display the site, your browser loads fonts and icons from third-party services (Google Fonts and the jsDelivr content network), which means those services can see your IP address when you visit. If we add analytics in future, we will update this policy.

Keeping it secure and how long we keep it

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse and unauthorised access. We keep job records and certificates for as long as we need them for the work we have done, and to meet our legal obligations, and then delete or de-identify them.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing info@nextgen-electrical.com.au or calling 0406 269 922. If you are not happy with how we handled your information, contact us first. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
